SPECIAL OLYMPICS PRICES

     As in any sport, serious, sustained individual training and practice are necessary to get into and stay in shape to become a competitor. Becoming a Special Olympics Athlete is no different: it will demand a serious, sustained approach to training and proficiency.

     Training/practice sessions for interested individuals of any age, will take place at least twice a week during late April and all of May; the goal is to select a few athletes to compete in later Special Olympics New York horse shows.

½ hour initial evaluation for each new athlete…………..$35 per person
½ hour private 4 lesson package……………………………$140
½ hour private 8 lesson package……………………………$240 (saving of $5 per lesson)

Funds from various donor sources may become available to support the program and help subsidize the lessons.

If a rider is absent or does not attend a lesson without prior notice, they will be responsible for the cost.

Make-up lessons will be allowed on a case-by-case basis.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

     An approved helmet with chin-strap Hard-soled, closed-toe shoes or boots with a heel Long non-slippery pants or jeans Dress warmly & wear gloves if weather is cold (We have a limited helmet supply)
